Reviews are coming in!
I can’t tell you how comforting it feels to have such a positive response to the release of The Tender Harvest. There was a lot of back and forth with my editor because she too is invested in these characters and we wanted to get it just right. But I can see so poignantly the second generation and their lives unfolding into an unknown future.
Yes, book 9 is in the works. And I have received some not-so-kind remarks, that I’m not publishing fast enough. A note about expectations: While I do use AI for creative artwork, figure out what’s wrong with my plant, and research purposes, I do not write with AI. I am a human being, and this process takes time. I realize other authors do, but that’s not what you’re going to get here. The fact that some readers are complaining about the rate of release, tells me at least they love reading my work. Or the same readers wouldn’t complain about every single release…
****And please do me a favor, if you’re going to purchase anything from Amazon today, please do so with the link that’s through this page for your country. I’m trying to test a new linking system for affiliate purchases in new countries. I’ll receive a small portion of any of your purchases. I mean, not enough to buy a cup of coffee, but it’s more to find new readers in your area. Thank you!
Personal Note
As you know, I’m certainly missing Henry. I still keep trying to avoid kicking his bed beneath my desk. I still expect to feel him pounce atop my bed in the middle of the night and settle around me. It’s hard living alone. I miss him. And it’s been suggested to go and get another pet, the shelter’s full of them. But I’m not ready just yet, and that brings me to another point…
One Bad Day
I love this series, and I’m writing it raw and unedited here with you to see as it unfolds, but I have better expectations for this series. It doesn’t have the flavor? No, that’s not quite the word, it’s not coming off the way I see it in my mind. Perhaps stress is getting in the way. And I know what I need to do to get it there, but that’s going to take a trip. I will still write until I can make the journey but I’m just letting you know, the progress there is stalling because I don’t want to force it. But yes, I’m still writing in that series, but I’m just trying to do it justice.
Day Job
A lot is going on in my world to keep me busy. If I’m not writing, I’m consulting other authors. It’s a nice segue while battles are being fought in the back of my mind in Graham’s Resolution, etc. I recently had the pleasure of working with authors, Ty Patterson, and KJ Kalis and I helped them transform their stores so that they too can sell directly to their readers as well.
So many authors are turning to this method so that they can communicate directly with their readers instead of Amazon owning them. I’m also designing a brand new store for author, ML Rose (you can’t purchase yet, but you can see the store design, wonderful books). I just completed another Jacqueline Vick’s site. Her books are so adorable, humourous cozy mysteries. And Naomi Rawling’s clean romance site.
I love doing this. It’s the perfect side job and word’s getting out, my booking page is growing. I wish I’d done this long ago.
What’s Next?
I’m hoping to get a new chapter to you soon for One Bad Day while I’m working on the next Graham’s Resolution. The paperback cover and audio are in the works as we speak. And there will be a new free book for May coming soon! In the meantime, please take care of yourselves ❤️ And thank you for all the kind and encouraging memos.
