Good morning,
I so hope everyone in the United States is having a nice long President’s Day weekend, but like me, I suspect you check the morning news. Or, this is a habit I’ve adopted since my adult children are often on other global continents.
I like to at least know what’s happening around them. Often scary things. I remember when my son Adam wanted to take a summer off from college and go to Nepal with a geology group… the problem was, just over the hill, a few Americans were taken hostage by the Taliban the week before. I discouraged the trip then. And now I wish I’d realized we only get the worst news of the day. Not that it wasn’t dangerous for a blonde-haired blue-eyed young man in that area at that time. It would have likely been a great memory for him now, but he’s had a fair amount of trips since then to various parts of the world. But you get my point…
